Dr. Davis has been with Asheville Hospitalist Group since 2009. Prior to that, he was a Government Rebate Analyst with GlaxoSmithKline. It was after two years in this position that he decided to pursue a career in medicine.

What do you find most rewarding about your area of practice? I enjoy the ability to often be able to turn around a patient's clinical situation and get them back home with their loved ones.

Why did you decide to specialize in your specialty? I enjoy the pathophysiology of acute on-chronic disease exacerbation and the ability to, more times than not, therapeutically alter that pathophysiology for the betterment of the patient.

What do you like most about practicing at Mission Health System? I like the opportunity to work hand in hand with high quality, top-notch specialists. There's not a day that goes by that I don't learn something new, stimulating and ultimately helpful for my patients.

Personal Interests: Dr. Allen is an avid Carolina football and basketball fan. He enjoys playing golf as well as fly-fishing. He says that, "Asheville is an outdoor paradise."
