Mission Hospital Women's Services
We offer women a diverse and comprehensive list of care services that include, but are not limited to:
Pelvic Floor Program: A team of physician, nurses and physical therapists from multiple disciplines who are specially trained in diagnosing and treating issues like incontinence and pelvic pain.
Labor and Delivery: For expectant moms a high quality labor and delivery unit. With approximately 3,500 deliveries annually, you can rest assured that you are in experienced and caring hands.
Mother-Baby Unit: After delivery, the mother/baby unit is the perfect place for you and your family to begin bonding with your newborn. Staff within the unit provides specialized support for mothers and babies 24 hours per day.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): For infants born ill or prematurely, our fifty-one-bed NICU serves as the state's highest level of designated care for seventeen counties in Western North Carolina.
Birth and Parenting Education and Support: For expectant moms, dads and others. Education Opportunities include early pregnancy classes, lots of early parenting information, labor and birth preparation, sibling preparation and new moms support.
Women's Surgery Unit: In this unit, complex surgery or cancer treatment is available in the areas of:
- Urogynecology;
- Gynecologic oncology;
- Assisted reproductive technology; and
- Minimally-invasive surgery.
Mission Children's Hospital
We have been caring for and treating children in Western North Carolina for more than 120 years. As our facilities, staff and medical technologies have grown, so has our commitment to providing children with compassionate medical care.
Today, Mission Children's Hospital provides comprehensive, specialized pediatric care for the region and beyond, treating patients with serious injuries and complex illnesses. Here is a sampling of just some of the sub-specialties you will find:
