Laurann H. Adams, RN, BS, BSN, MBA, is Mission's Vice President of Surgical Services.
Adams joined Mission from B.E. Smith, a global firm that manages consulting, executive search and interim leadership services for healthcare. She has served as an interim healthcare executive/consultant - primarily focused on surgical services - for hospitals in several states. She began serving as interim VP of Surgical Services at Mission in January, 2011.
As a nursing administrator, primarily in perioperative services, Adams brings more than 35 years of experience in acute health care.
Adams is responsible for all surgical services and endoscopy on both campuses as well as the Asheville Surgery Center.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. She received her BSN at Baylor University in Waco, TX, and her MBA from Auburn University in Auburn, AL.
Professional memberships include the Association of Operating Room Nurses, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
