Modern cardiovascular medicine requires complex patient management systems to provide optimal care. To meet these needs, Asheville Cardiology has set up specialized clinics in the following fields:

• Congestive Heart Failure

This clinic manages patients with weakened or stiffened heart muscle who are prone to fluid buildup in the lungs. The goal of the interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and social workers is to keep patients as active as possible while avoiding unnecessary hospitalizations.

• Cardiovascular Risk

Taking a comprehensive disease management approach, the Cardiovascular Risk Clinic began with a primary focus on cholesterol-related heart problems, but has expanded to the care of patients experiencing a wide variety of risk factors. Care is provided in close cooperation with Mission Heart Services, including the Heart Path rehabilitation program.
